The DF Executive Committee
The Executive Committee serves as the Descendants Forum’s executive leadership body during the Forum’s founding year. Established through a Forum-wide vote of member organizations, the committee is responsible for coordinating the Forum’s overall operations, supporting and overseeing the work of its committees, and facilitating the implementation of decisions made by the Forum’s Congress. It provides organizational leadership between meetings of the Congress while remaining accountable to the Forum’s member organizations and the interim governance structure they approved.
Working collaboratively with the Forum’s standing committees, the Executive Committee helps establish organizational priorities, coordinate activities across the Forum, address matters that require timely attention, and ensure that the Forum’s programs and initiatives advance its mission. During the founding year, the committee will also work closely with the Governance Committee as the Forum pilots its interim governance structure and prepares for the consideration and ratification of a permanent governance model.
